API Overview
Version: 1.0.0
Programmatic access to ContextOwl docs, changelog, and workspaces. Send an agent key as a bearer token. Agent keys start with cowl_pat_. Every MCP tool has an operation here with the same arguments and errors. x-permissions on an operation lists the permissions that unlock it: the key needs one of them. An empty list means any valid key. x-public marks an operation that also answers a call without a key on a docs host. Such a call reads as an anonymous reader. It reaches only the public workspaces that allow AI agents, and only the articles that an anonymous reader can open. On a docs host, every other operation answers 401 to a call without a key. Errors use the envelope {"error":{"code","message","status","details"}}. An agent can name itself in the ContextOwl-Agent header, such as ContextOwl-Agent: support-bot. Analytics then counts its calls as that AI agent. The header grants nothing.
